It was January 2012 and my life was definitely in need of a new direction. I was spending a month on the beautiful island of Bali; relaxing in Ubud the spiritual, creative heart of the island, whilst working on my online photography course. A good friend at home had already suggested LETTER ART as a way of taking photos with an additional creative twist, however at the time I hadn’t taken that much notice… But it must have lingered there in my subconscious, just waiting for the right moment to manifest. And that moment turned out to be one particular afternoon in Ubud whilst getting lost amongst the rice fields, under the gaze of the mighty volcano; suddenly letters started to appear all around me. Within weeks MiSS PiCCY had started to take shape, and the rest just flowed from there.

That was 4 years ago now and whilst I am certainly not able to give up the office work, I still get exactly the same buzz today when I pick up the camera and go letter-hunting as I did on that first magical day in Ubud. Taking photos, editing the photos, sharing the photos… I love the whole process and especially being able to combine this passion with my love of travelling. I’m now fortunate enough to be able to sell my photos to friends, online via my website and Etsy accounts, and through an artist studio in Ubud.

I have recently started making scatter cushions, greeting cards and even fridge magnets. The possibilities are endless, and my PiCCY passion is limitless.  Please check out MiSS PiCCY to see the full range of products available today.
